Staring at my current work for like the 400th hour (or something) I found myself wondering just how long it was gonna take me to get any better. Then I looked at some of my older stuff on here, and I find it's starting to look embarrassingly bad. I thought it looked okay enough when I submitted it, so I guess that does mean I am improving in some way... :-)

So my deviation with the most :+fav:s right now is the one that took me around one tenth of the time of any of the others...    ... I think that should be telling me something.

I wasn't gonna make journal entries, but I feel compelled to now... I've just arrived back home after what was supposed to be a few days with my family over Christmas. A couple of days after Christmas day, I got up in the night to get a glass of water and it somehow broke in my hand and cut into my right hand index finger pretty bad. It cut through some nerves and stuff, so I had to have surgery on it... and I haven't been able to draw, drive, tie my shoelaces, and various other things for a couple of weeks, because they bandaged my entire hand. I'm gonna try drawing now. It hurts a bit and the sensation in that finger is horrible, but I
